African Warbler – Naming and Launch Ceremony

The M.V. African Warbler was named and launched at Kanda shipyard in October 2019 with delivery in February 2020.

S.O.S. – African Grouse to the Rescue
4 December 2019
On 4 December 2019, the M.V. African Grouse was contacted by the Rescue Coordination Centre (RCC) in Canberra, Australia to assist 2 men in a small fibreglass vessel in distress adrift off the Solomon Islands. Upon request from the RCC the M.V. African Grouse diverted from her voyage and was the first vessel on location to act as the on-scene commander to coordinate the rescue with the RCC. Both men and their vessel were successfully rescued and taken to Honiara, the capital of Solomon Islands, on board the LC Marama Senikabuta.

Annual Seminar in Myanmar
1 November 2019
In November 2019, Dockendale representatives visited Myanmar. The purpose was to visit colleagues, conduct training sessions, interview new recruits and complete an internal audit review.

African Gannet naming and delivery
28 June 2018
The M.V. African Gannet was delivered to us from the Kanda Shipyard on the 28th June. The ship is a 38,000dwt logger type, she follows the delivery of the African Kestrel earlier in 2018. The two sister ships will deliver into our bareboat charter during 2019 and 2020.

African Toucan naming and delivery

In May this year we expanded our fleet with the handover of the African Toucan. The Toucan is a bulk carrier with a Gross Tonnage of 23,247 mts.
